About Me

My name is Juan Diego Coquis, and I am from Milpitas, California. My family is originally from Peru, and I believe Peruvian food is the best food in the world. My favorite dish is Lomo Saltado with pasta a la Huancaína. I am a junior at Aubrey Rogers High School, where I also play basketball. I enjoy listening to many different types of music, except for country music, which I personally do not enjoy. Growing up, I have always worked with my dad, helping him install security systems, surround-sound systems, and TVs. Through these experiences, I have learned that kindness and building strong connections with the people you work with and for are extremely important. Through the SWFL CEO program, I am interested in creating a business that promotes and supports minorities in any way possible, especially those who are less fortunate. I hope to use what I learn through the program to create something that can positively impact my community and help others succeed.
