About Me
My name is Giovanna Borges, and I am an author and entrepreneur, currently serving as the CEO of TaskIn. I am a senior at Aubrey Rogers High School, though I spend most of my school days at FGCU as a full-time dual-enrollment student. Originally from Brazil, my experience of moving to the United States has taught me the importance of adaptability, discipline, and persistence. More than anything, it has given me a love for meeting new people, discovering new places, and learning from different cultures.
My interests have led me to some unique experiences, from publishing two books, Histórias da Gigi and The Pelicans’ Meeting, to programming AI chatbots during my internship at NicoChat. Today, I am the founder and CEO of TaskIn, a startup that builds intergenerational connections by connecting responsible teenagers with seniors in need of local support. I also work with Projeto UAI, a nonprofit in Brazil that helps women from underserved communities learn Amigurumi crafts as a potential source of income. At Aubrey Rogers, I enjoy being involved in my school community through leadership roles in National Honor Society and Habitat for Humanity, as well as participating in Model United Nations. Outside of school and work, I enjoy reading and spending time outdoors, especially at the beach. My faith in Jesus is a central part of my life and shapes the way I want to use my work to help others.
I plan to pursue a career in social entrepreneurship, eventually creating an organization that uses business to serve communities in need internationally. I am excited to be part of the Southwest Florida CEO Class of 2027 and to meet people who will challenge the way I think, introduce me to new possibilities, and help me take that vision further.
